Do you eat turkey every Thanksgivings? God provide people with nice meal. OK do you want to do something good in return this Thanksgiving? Here is how.

PETA's investigators discovered following horrors between April and July, 2006, during an undercover investigation at a Butterball plant that slaughters approximately 50,000 birds each day.

These are some of  quotations from the undercover investigator's log.

  • Workers slammed live birds against shackles, metal trailers, and handrails with such force that one turkey’s spine popped out.
  • Workers routinely kicked live birds and often used them as punching bags.
  • One employee was seen stomping on a bird’s head until her skull exploded.
  • Another employee assaulted a hanging turkey by inserting his finger into her cloaca (vagina).
  • One worker told an investigator: "If you jump on their stomachs right, they'll pop ... or their insides will come out of their [rectums],"

We, consumers usually do not see or try not see what are really happenning behind agrucultural industry. Turkey Plants are one of the most terrible industries.
As you read already.  People do abuse animals, and that is outrageous. No one has right to harm any living things.

We are blessed so much that we can eat turkey meal, but we must appreciate and rethink how we treat them.

It does not mean that people should not eat meat at all, it means that we must respect and treat them right becaseu they are living things like humans. We all know that they are capable of feeling happiness, sad, angry, pain and so on.

They are meant to be slaughtered for us, so why not pay little bit of your attention and treat them nicely and let them live freely at least. Thier life time is very short. Those who can not leave turkey alnoe even in that short period are questionable.

So let's do something nice for turkeys this Thanksgiving!

You can call, write or e-mail to ask companies to stop exploitation.
You can choose Turkeys produced in humane ways. (Organic Turkeys tastes better and are healthier for us; protecting animals is protecting ourselves, too.)

Don't you feel better if you eat turkey produced in humane ways rather than conventional (merciless) ways?
