Spring has come! It is good to feel warm ad nice weather with bird singing and blooming flowers. Everything is smell good and nice, is it? What about your home? Is your home ready for Spring? Let's get started to clean up your winter mess with cheap, smart and eco-friendly techniques.

Cleaning home is always cost-intensive. You have to buy many cleaners from glass cleaners, bleaches, overn cleaners to scrub sponges, gloves, and more. It is countless. It also make you sick ormake your skin ugly with all chemicals. Is it not great if you can clean up all your mess with simple methods?


Oven Cleaner:
Ingredients:
  • salt
  • baking soda
  • water

How to:
Make a paste of equal parts salt, baking soda and water. Before apply the paste, wipe away any grease and scratch off bumt spots with a acouring brush or steel wool. Apply the paste, let stand 5 minutes and wipe clean with a damp rug. * Do not allow baking soda to touch heating elements or wiring.

Wood Floor Polish:
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

How to:
Mix ingredients. Rub on floor and buff with a clean dry cloth.

Toilet Bowl Ceaner:
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup borax
  • 1/4 cup vinegar or lemon juice

How to:
Make a paste by combining all ingredients. Apply it to the inside of the toilet bowl and let is sit for 1 to 2 hours before scrubbing.

Mold Remover:

Ingredients:

  • vinegar

How to:
Saturate a sponge with full-strength vinegar and scrub the moldy area. Rince well.

Glass Cleaner:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 quart water

How to:
Spray it and wipe away with clean and dry cloth.

Multipurpose Cleaner:
Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1/4 dishwashing liquid
  • 1 reaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups hot water

How to:
Combine all ingredients and apply surfaces you want to clean.

Heavy-Duty Disinfectant:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup powdered laundry detergent
  • 1 tablespoon borax
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1/4 pine oil

How to:
Slowly stir the detergent and borax into the water to dissolve. Add the pine oil and mix well.
* Full-strength for bathrooms and Diluted with water for kitchens.

Carpet Freshner:
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup crushed herbs (ex. lavender, rosemary etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda

How to:
In a container with a tight-fitting lid, combine all ingredients and shake well to blend. Sprinkle the mixture on carpet and let sit for 1 hour. Vacuum.

Rust Remover:
Ingredients:

  • salt
  • lime

How to:
Sprinkle salt on the rust and then squeeze a lime over the salt until it is soaked in juice. Let mixture sit for up to 3 hours.
* The leftover lime rind can be used as a handy scrubber to remove the rust.

Ingredients:

  • balled-up aluminum foil
  • water

How to:
Rub the rust with balled-up aluminum foil after wetting it with water.
* Use caution as aluminum foil will scratch chrome.

Drain Cleaning Agent:
Ingredients:

  • baking soda
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • hot water

How to:
Sprinkle a generaous amount of baking soda in and around the drain opening. Pour white vinegar into the area. Repeat necessary. Flush with hot water.

Tile Floor Cleaner:
Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap
  • 3 gallons warm water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 3  gallons cool water

How to:
Map floor with solution of liquid dish soap dissolved in warm water. Rinse with white vinegar in cool water.

Grease Stain Remover:
Ingredients:

  • borax
  • water

How to:
Coombine ingredients. Cover stain with a mixture of borax and water. Rub in and wipe off. Rinse well after applying stain remover.

Natural Laundry Bleach:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Sunshine

How to:
Pour lemon juice in the waching machine's rinse cycle. After cloths have spun, hang in the sun to dry.

Wall and Wallpaper Cleaner:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup borax
  • 1 gallon hot water

How to:
Stir to blend. Use a sponge or rag.

Silver Cleaner:
Ingredients:

  • toothpaste

How to:
Rub the silver with toothpaste. Wipe off tarnish and then rinse. Dry with a soft cloth.

Kitchen Disposal Freshner:
Ingredients:

  • lemon wedges
How to:
Just drop in a few lemon wedges and flip the switch.
