Global warming is Global problems.
People in Tuvalu in the South Pacific Ocean are facing the big problems – foods and coastal erosions caused by rising sea level. Residents, especially the young generation, start accepting the dark reality, that is, disappearance of their country caused by global warming. In fact, some people are considering moving out of the country.
Evening on February 18, 2007, the city near the Tuvalu’s only international airport has been flooded. Clear and salty sea water sprang out from crevices pavement.
About 10,000 people are living in this country, which is about only 2 meters above sea level. The country was created by accumulation of sands on coral reefs; therefore, sea water seeps through the porous lands. “Because of global warming which is caused by emission of CO2 from other countries, our country will be gone.” Local residents can not hide their frustration and anger. What can we do to help these people who need helps and to stop further destructions accompanied by global warming? What do you think about global warming issues?
